Happy Thanksgiving!
As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to express how truly grateful we are for each of you. At In A Kid’s World, our families are the heart of everything we do, and it’s your trust, kindness, and support that make our community so special.
We are thankful for:
- The joy your little ones bring to our classrooms every day.
- The laughter, curiosity, and creativity that make learning so exciting.
- The strong connections we’ve built together to nurture and grow young minds.
This season is all about gratitude, and we are reminded daily of how lucky we are to have families like yours.
Wishing you and your loved ones a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, love, and happiness. Thank you for being part of our In A Kid’s World family!

Potty Training Tips
Potty training can be challenging, but you can support your child’s progress at home with the right approach. Below are a few tips to reinforce the techniques used at our early learning center:
- Establish a Routine: Take your child to the bathroom every 30–60 minutes, gradually extending to every 2–3 hours. Include bathroom visits after meals and before bed.
- Use Positive Reinforcement: Celebrate successes with praise, rewards, and a fun sticker chart. Avoid negative reactions to accidents.
- Make Potty Time Fun: Turn potty training into an enjoyable activity with songs, books, and character-themed bathroom supplies.

Snow is Falling
As snow begins to fall and winter sets in, we want your child to stay warm and comfortable during their time with us at school. To help us keep your little one cozy and ready for outdoor adventures, we kindly ask you pack a winter bag to keep at daycare or bring with them daily. Please include:
- Extra Layers: Pants, sweaters, and socks in case of spills or snow-soaked clothing.
- Winter Outerwear: A warm coat, snow pants, and waterproof boots for outdoor play.
- Accessories: Hats, gloves or mittens (preferably waterproof), and a scarf to protect against chilly winds.
- Extra Shoes: Comfortable indoor shoes to change into after outdoor activities.
- Other Essentials: A labeled bag for storing wet or dirty clothes and a water bottle to keep your little one hydrated.
Please double check all items are labeled with your child’s name to avoid mix-ups. If your child doesn’t have a winter bag yet, we recommend putting one together as soon as possible.
Thank you for helping us ensure your child is ready to make the most of winter fun while staying warm and dry. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Curriculum Built For Your Kid
Our curriculum is built for your child, so they can succeed at every stage of their early learning journey. Our approach focuses on building a strong foundation in essential skills to serve them well both now and in the future. We focus on:
Independence and Self-Care: We encourage routines like managing belongings and practicing bathroom habits which help build confidence and independence.
Structured Learning: We introduce routines to give children a sense of structure, similar to the environments they will experience in school. This helps them adjust to schedules while balancing learning and play.
Early Literacy and Numeracy: Through fun activities like alphabet games, reading, and simple math concepts, we lay the groundwork for lifelong learning.
Our teachers nurture your child’s growth across areas such as Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Physical Development and Health, Fine Arts, and Social/Emotional Development. Our lessons align with research-based programs and state standards to ensure developmentally appropriate experiences for all children, including:
- Illinois Early Learning Standards
- Creative Curriculum
- The Project Approach
- Nature Explore
- Second Step
Together, we’re creating an environment to support growth, discovery, and joy every day.
